Jazz musician, composer, co-founder of the Dżamble ensemble, luthier
A graduate of the double bass class of prof. Richard Dauna. From 1966, he was associated with the Cracow jazz club Helikon. Participant of jazz festivals: Jazz Jamboree in 1969, 1984 and 1985. Jazz on the Odra in 1969 and 1971. Festival of Polish Song in Opole in 1969 and 1978. 1973 - trip to the USA - consultations with Rufus Ried, an outstanding American jazz double bassist. He cooperated, among others with the following music bands and artists: Skaldowie, Marek Grechuta and Anawa, Maanam Kory Jackowska, Maryla Rodowicz, Irena Jarocka, Zbigniew Wodecki, Andrzej Zaucha In 2016, he founded the jazz quartet Marian Pawlik Quartet

Since 1985, he has been involved in double bass  making, the construction of double bass and jazz guitars. By 2018, Marian Pawlik has built 32 double basses, most of them are playing in Polish and European symphonic orchestras.
