Miloslav Gajdoš – early violin studies have influenced his violinistic approach to teaching and playing. He was a student at the State Conservatoire, Kromeriz, and the Janacek Academy in Brno, and has been member of the Olomouc Symphony Orchestra since 1973. He is a professor at Vejvanovsky Conservatoire in Kromeriz, and has been a jurist at many International Competitions in Hungary, Germany and the Czech Republic. Miloslav Gajdoš is the leading Gregora authority, having edited and performed almost the entire Gregora solo output. He performs regulary as a soloist, often with Olomouc Symphony Orchestra, and has given recitals throughout Europe, America and Asia. He is a prolific composer and arranger of music for double bass and to date he transcribed over 70 works, including concertos by Bruch and Dvorak. His recitals include his own compositions alongside transcriptions and original works by Frantisek Gregora.
