He was born in Poland and started his musical studies at the age of 10. Since the age of 15 he studied double bass in the city of Katowice and then in Warsaw under the tutelage of distinguished professors like Stefan Nowak, Wiktor Gadzinski, Andrzej Mysinski and Tadeusz Pelczar. In 1977 he achieves his master's degree in the Superior School of Music in Warsaw (now the F.Chopin Academy of Music). Since 1973, he collaborates with the best orchestras in Poland like the Philharmonic of Silesia, the Polish Chamber Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Warsaw, and gives double bass lessons in the Karol Szymanowksi Liceum, located in Warsaw. In 1980, he travels to Mexico in order to attend the job of double bass assistant in the Veracruz Symphonic Orchestra. During the years 1983-1984 he becomes the principal in the double bass section in the Bellas Artes Chamber Orchestra of Mexico City. After that and ever since, he has been the double bass assistant in the Symphonic Orchestra of Xalapa, the capital of the state of Veracruz, México, and a renowned double bass teacher in the Veracruz University. He has played in various occasions as a soloist with various orchestras in Mexico. In addition to his classical studies, his interest in Jazz music led him to collaborate with famed Polish and Mexican musicians and groups like the Silesian Jazz Quartet, Jazz Carriers, Janusz Muniak Quintet, Novi singers, Four Winds, Alejandro Corona, Guillermo Cuevas, Henryk Miskiewicz, Slawomir Kulpowicz and Kazio Jonkisz, with whom he participated in numerous radio and television broadcastings, recordings, and tours and festivals in diverse countries like Italy, Bulgary, Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Australia and, of course, Mexico and Poland.
