The ARTISTS of the festival

n 1988 entering the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Classical Double Bass Branch as Prof.Tahir Sumer’s student, started double bass education. In 1995 he was successful in exams for Mediterranean Youth Symphony Orchestra organised in France and also won Principle Bass position in an additional exam and worked with Prof. J. M. Rollez. In 1998 he was graduated in Prof. Tahir Sumer double bass class with a best qualification degree. He continued Academic career at the Bilkent University Music and Stage Arts Institute with Sergey Margulis. In 2007 completed higher graduate program and in 2010 made the Proficiency in Art Program Honorary Degree. In the Musica Europa Opera Orchestra (2009/2010) and in 2010 World Youth Symphony Orchestra organised by Unicef was invited to be the Double Bass Group Chief. In 2011 made training abroad in Poland in the Karol Lipinski Music Academy on Double Bass teaching, a (Post-Doc.) program. Had opportunities of working and stage experiences with world famous prominent double bass virtuoses in Turkey in mastership classes and abroad. Some of these are: K. Trumpf (Germany), A. Chilo (Russia), M. Gajdos (Czech Rep.), F. Petracchi (Italy), G. Karr (USA), B. Nancka (Poland), I. Olkiewicz (Poland), G. Engels (Germany), Z. Prochownik (Canada). In Holand (Concertgebouw), England (Albert Hall), Japan (Tokyo Concert Center), Germany (Berlin Concert Hall),
Egypt, Lebanon, France, Poland, Republic of Czech, Italy, Greece and etc. in forth coming concert centres played chamber music, recitals and solo concerts. Karaagac had made the first time double bass performances on stage of many compositions for the first audiences in Turkey. He realised the first performances of Contemporary Turkish Composers’ works dedicated especially for him. Currently he is
a  teacher at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory Double Bass Branch.
