Marcela Jelínková graduated from the Conservatoire and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. In 1987 – 1988 she won a scholarship and studied at the Music Academy in Riga. Marcela Jelínková is active as a soloist and a chamber player as well. She gives concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad. She is professor at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Together with her husband Miloslav Jelínek (double bass) have made a great number of radio, television and CD recordings and together they give recitals in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. As piano accompanist she is specialist for repertoire of double bass, violoncello, viola, flute and singing. She played with many leading bassists in the world – Ovidiu Badila, Miloslav Gajdoš, Klaus Trumpf, Catalin Rotaru, Roman Patkoló, Irena Olkiewicz, David Heyes, Mette Hanskov, Gunars Upatnieks, Piotr Zimnik and many others. She teaches at international master classes and cooperates at the international competitions as a piano accompanist.
