Dana Šašinová-Satury studied at the Conservatoire and Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava under Juraj Mašinda, Peter Toperczer, Eva Fischerová-Martvoňová, Marián Lapšanský and Daniela Varínska. She participaed in international interpretation courses with Eugen Indjić and Klaus Hellwig. She is price-holder of numerous international competitions: Virtuosi per musica di Pianoforte in Ústí nad Labem, Smetana competition in Hradec Králové, Beethoven competition in Hradec nad Moravicí, Bach competition in Leipzig, and winner of the Bach-Haendel-Scarlatti competition in Varaždín. At the age of seventeen she apeared for the first time at the concert hall of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra with the Schumann Piano Concerto a minor in Bratislava. She has played at international festivals at home and abroad (Festival J.S.Bach in Leipzig, Festival of Contemporary Music in Krakow, Festival Cluster Neuklang in Erfurt and Gera, Festival in Boulder in Colorado, Janáček ́s May in Ostrava, Bratislava Music Festivals BHS, Melos-Éthos, Week of New Slovak Music, Central European Festival of Concert Art in Žilina and others). As soloist she has appeared with all major orchestras in Slovakia and gave recitals also abroad. She performed in many European countries, the USA and Cuba. She is also in demand as partner with chamber music ensembles and vocalist. Her repertoary comprises compositions from baroque to contemporary music. Several Slovak composers (Vladimír Bokes, Juraj Hatrík, Ladislav Kupkovič, Ilja Zeljenka) devoted their works to her. At present she teaches at Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava.
