Łukasz Długosz is critically acclaimed as one of the most prominent flutists in the world. For the Album "Flute Stories" recorded for WERGO, luxembourg Pizzicato announced him one of the most outstanding flutists in the world. He is the Polish flutist who has been awarded the greatest number of prizes in history. He is a graduate of soloist studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, as well as master studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris and the Yale University in New Haven. He is a prizewinner of several international prestigious competitions in Paris,  Munich, Odense and Viggiano.
He performs in concerts as a soloist and as a chamber musician with many renowned orchestras. As a soloist he played among others at the Carnegie Hall in New York, Musikverein Goldener Saal and the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Konzerthaus Berlin in Berlin, the Gasteig Carl Orff Saal and the Herkulessaal in Munich, Bunka Kaikan Hall Tokyo, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg,   Gewandhaus Leipzig. He performed under such star conductors as Zubin Mehta, James Levine, Mariss Jansons, Jan Krenz, Jerzy Maksymiuk. On multiple occasions, he has been invited by Krzysztof Penderecki himself to perform the flute concerto under the composer’s baton.
In 2010, Łukasz Długosz had his recording debut with the London Symphony Orchestra performing the flute concerto by Michael Colina. The artist has made more than 50 CD's recording, archival radio and TV recordings in Europe achieving an array of prizes that have been highly acclaimed by European critics including the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) prize, Pizzicato Music Award, Midem Classic Award, Fryderyki and nomination to Grammy Award.
His concerts have been broadcast by the most important radio stations such as BBC Radio 3, NDR, SWR, BR4, Deutschland Radio Kultur, Polish Radio 2, Radio France and RMF Classic.
He is credited with numerous first performances of composers such as Enjott Schneider, Michael Colina, Krzysztof Penderecki, Mikołaj Górecki, Dai Bo,  Paweł Mykietyn, Kaija Saariaho and many others. It was developed in cooperation with many institutions and festivals. Following more than a decade of active artistic output, almost 200 new compositions are the result – for the flute and two flutes, from symphonic-chamber music to solo pieces, written by almost 90 different composers. In order to enable flutists to learn this literature, Łukasz Długosz has been implementing the Flautoforte project since 2019, which consists in recording commissioned compositions and making them available free of charge on the Internet together with interviews with composers, presentations of contemporary performance techniques and music sheets -www.flautoforte.pl. He is a juror of many international flute competitions, teaches numerous master programmes all over the world. For his artistic achievements, he received many prizes and scholarships, nominations among others, the Gasteig Musikpreis, Zeit-Preis, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, and the Polish Minister of Culture and Heritage Award, Polityka’s Passport and the Guarantee of Culture Award. Łukasz Długosz was awarded the for Merit to Culture Gloria Artis for his outstanding cultural activity and promotion of the Polish culture and from President of Poland one of the most important polish decorations the Order of Colonia Restitute for the promotion of Polish culture in the world. He became the youngest Professor of Art in Poland.


 

 

Marcela Jelínková graduated from the Conservatoire and Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. In 1987 – 1988 she won a scholarship and studied at the Music Academy in Riga. Marcela Jelínková is active as a soloist and a chamber player as well. She gives concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad. She is professor at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Together with her husband Miloslav Jelínek (double bass) have made a great number of radio, television and CD recordings and together they give recitals in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. As piano accompanist she is specialist for repertoire of double bass, violoncello, viola, flute and singing. She played with many leading bassists in the world – Ovidiu Badila, Miloslav Gajdoš, Klaus Trumpf, Catalin Rotaru, Roman Patkoló, Irena Olkiewicz, David Heyes, Mette Hanskov, Gunars Upatnieks, Piotr Zimnik and many others. She teaches at international master classes and cooperates at the international competitions as a piano accompanist.

 

 

MILOSLAV JELÍNEK graduated from the Conservatoire in Kroměříž (prof. Miloslav Gajdoš) and then from the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno (prof. Jiří Bortlíček). During his study he participated in a number of interpretation competitions and won a lot of awards.
Miloslav Jelínek was for 23 years a chief of the double bass group in the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra. At present he has been professor at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, at the University of Ostrava, at Music Academy Karol Lipinski in Wroclaw, Poland (2012 – 2015) and at Brno Conservatory. He is honorary professor at the Beijing Conservatory. Miloslav Jelinek is the founder and chairmen of the Czech Society of Double Bassists. He cooperates with many chamber ensembles - (for example Janáček String Quartet, Brindisi String Quartet, Wallinger Quartet, RIX Quartet). Every year in September he organizes International Double Bass Convention in Brno, Czech Republic. He has made a great number of radio, television and CD recordings and together with his wife Marcela Jelínková (piano) give extensively double bass recitals in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. He performs as soloist with symphony orchestras - (Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Lower Silesia Philharmonic, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, Brno Chamber Orchestra, Czech Chamber Soloists and many others). Also he is leader of the Brno Double Bass Orchestra. Miloslav Jelínek presents many contemporary pieces, which were written for him. For example Jiří Matys, Tony Osborne, Miloš Štědroň, František Emmert, Leoš Faltus and the other.
Miloslav Jelínek is giving numerous clinics and master classes through the world (China, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, Latvia, Singapore, USA etc.…)
