• The Participants of the Festival may be Students and Graduates of Music Academies, Students of Music Schools and Teachers of Music Schools.
• Minor Participants must be supervised by an Adult who is responsible for their safety during the Festival.
• The Organizer of the Festival does not exercise or provide care for persons under the age of 18.
• The Schedule of the Festival includes daily individual master classes with teachers selected by the Participant, classes in Instrumental Theatre and Chamber Ensembles, concerts and meetings after concerts with teachers over dinner or a bonfire. The selected Participants will be invited to participate in the final concert.
• The Organizers shall provide participants with collaboration with outstanding pianists.
• Participants are required to bring the sheet music for the Accompanists.
• Participants are obliged to insure themselves against the costs of damage and the consequences of accidents.
• Each participant of the cello and double bass classes is obliged to secure the instrument's endpin with a rubber cap, non-slip pad or a strap.
• The Organizers will not provide instruments and double bass stools.
• The Organizer shall provide full board accommodation and local transport for Participants and Guardians.
APPLICATIONS AND PARTICIPATION FEES
In order to participate in the Grzegorz Olkiewicz International Music Festival, the application should be sent by 15th May 2023 via e-mail to the Organizer's address (This email address is being protected from spambots. Participation fee:
Active Participation: PLN 1,500
Every day: Master Classes, Classes in the Instrumental Theatre and Chamber ensembles, Work with a Pianist - Chamber musician, access to all Concerts (Pawłowice, Pielgrzymowice), a Trip to the Castle Museum in Pszczyna and the Bison Reserve.
Passive or the Observer participation: PLN 750
Every day: Passive participation in any Master Classes and Chamber Ensemble classes, active participation in Instrumental Theatre classes, access to all Concerts (Pawłowice, Pielgrzymowice), a Trip to the Castle Museum in Pszczyna and the Bison Reserve.
Participation of the Guardian: PLN 300
Every day: Participation as a Guardian in any Master Classes, Chamber Music and Instrumental Theatre classes, access to all Concerts (Pawłowice, Pielgrzymowice), a Trip to the Castle Museum in Pszczyna and the Bison Reserve.
Costs of Reservation of Accommodation and Meals
Accommodation with breakfast: PLN 700 (from 06/08 to 13/08)
Place: "Pustelnik" Hotel in Wisła Mała, one place in a double room with a bathroom
Lunch and dinner PLN 700 (from 06/08 to 12/08)
Place: "Koniczynka" Restaurant in Pawłowice
The payment for participation in the Festival should be transferred to the Organizer's Bank Account by May 30, 2023

Pochodzi z Hawany (Kuba) gdzie urodził się i mieszkał do 20 roku życia. Z muzyką związany jest od najmłodszych lat, a przygodę z kontrabasem zaczął w wieku 12 lat i po dziś dzień ten instrument wiedzie prym w jego życiu. Ukończył jedno z najsłynniejszych na Kubie Konserwatoriów Muzycznych im. Guillermo Tomasa Bouffartigues w Hawanie. Obecnie jest studentem Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu w klasie kontrabasu dr hab. Ireny Olkiewicz. Grę na kontrabasie udoskonalał również biorąc udział w klasach mistrzowskich, u takich mistrzów kontrabasu jak Roman Patkolo, Miloslav Gajdoš i Miloslav Jelinek. W latach szkolnych należał do chóru „Coro Azul”, z którym brał udział w licznych festiwalach i konkursach takich jak. „Cantorias Nacional¨ oraz występował w Teatrze Carlosa Marxa. Grał również w składzie szkolnej orkiestry symfonicznej, z którą brał udział w Narodowym Festiwalu Orkiestr Symfonicznych. W wieku 13 lat założył swój pierwszy zespół jazzowy, z którym brał udział m.in. w Konkursie Jazzowym „Jojazz”, Festiwalu „Jazz Plaza” i in. Koncertował z Młodzieżową Orkiestrą Symfoniczną oraz Kameralną Guillermo Tomas. Występował u boku takich gwiazd i zespołów jak: Wynton Marsalis, Cool and the Gang, Klazz Brothers & Cuba Percussion, Bobby Carcasses i Afrojazz, Michel Herrera i Jovenjazz, Jadasni Portillo i Cause, Emir Santacruz, Ernesto Camilo i Saxofilia. Miał okazję grać pod batutą m.in. Tomasza Bugaja, Marka Pijarowskiego, Jacka Rogali, Tadeusza Zatheya. Aktualnie koncertuje w Europie z grupą Cuba Percussion & Friends feat. Yaqueline Castellanos, a w Polsce gra z orkiestrą Rey Ceballo i Tripulacion Cubana oraz The Cuban Latin Jazz.
